Service Information
Jean B. Nisse, age 77, wife of Chuck, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, 11:00 A.M., at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Acoma Township, Minnesota, with interment in the church cemetery at a later date.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Obituary
Jean Beverly Nisse was born on April 5, 1946, in Hutchinson, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Edward and Dolores (Boldt) Wendorff. Jean was baptized as an infant, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on June 5, 1960, both at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Acoma Township, rural Hutchinson. She received her education in Hutchinson, and was a graduate of the Hutchinson High School Class of 1964. Jean furthered her education at Hutchinson Vocational Technical College where she received a Secretarial Associate’s Degree.
On December 4, 1971, Jean was united in marriage to Charles “Chuck” Nisse at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Acoma Township. This marriage was blessed with three sons, Michael, Mark and John. Jean and Chuck made their home on the farm in rural Hutchinson. They shared 52 years of marriage.
Jean was employed at HTI in Hutchinson for over 20 years before retiring in 2008. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Acoma Township and served on the ladies’ aide.
Jean enjoyed reading, flower gardening and watching the Minnesota Twins. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and many beloved dogs throughout the years.
Jean passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson, at the age of 77 years.

Carla Saunders (Dan) of Plymouth, MN;
Many great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jean is preceded in death by her Parents, Edward and Dolores Wendorff; Parents-in-law, Vernon and Helen Nisse.
