Jeffrey P. Grunke, age 68, of St. Cloud formerly of Franklin passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026, at The Gardens of Foley in Foley, Minnesota.
A Private Family Memorial Service will be held at the Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax with interment in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Cairo Township, Renville County, Minnesota.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be Thursday, May 7, 2026, 12:30 P.M.-1:30 P.M. at the Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax.
Obituary
Jeffrey “Jeff” Paul Grunke was born on July 21, 1957, in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. He was the son of LeRoy and Evelyn (Kern) Grunke. Jeff was baptized as an infant on August 6, 1957, and later was confirmed in his faith in 1972, both at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fairfax. He received his education in Franklin. Jeff grew up in Franklin and later in St. Cloud.
Jeff worked in maintenance at the Cash Wise and Menards stores in St. Cloud.
Jeff enjoyed fishing and riding his bike.
Jeff passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at The Gardens at Foley in Foley, Minnesota, at the age of 68 years. Blessed be his memory.
Jeff is survived by his:
Sisters, Linda Hilgert and her husband, Larry of Bird Island, MN,
Brenda Severson and her husband, Jan of St. Paul, MN,
Cindy Mumme and her husband, Dave of Redwood Falls, MN,
Deb Rooney and her husband, Roger of Cottage Grove, MN, and
Aunt, Luella Kern of Richfield, MN;
Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jeff was preceded in death by his Parents, LeRoy and Evelyn Grunke; Brother, Randy Grunke and his wife, Judy; Nephew-in-law, Al Ahrens.

Jeff what happened? I don’t see you for a weekend and you leave me.i was there everytime you ended up in hospital and I was at the gardens everyday except the weekend. I will truly miss you and all the dice and cribbage we played I will clean out your apartment like I promised and I will see you another time when I get there love you jeff
