Service Information
Joanne Stevensen, age 77, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, at The Gardens at Winsted in Winsted, Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 10, 2025, 11:00 A.M., at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson, with interment at a later date in Riverside Cemetery, Madelia, Minnesota.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 5:00-8:00 P.M., at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Obituary
Joanne Mildred Arlene Stevensen was born on April 28, 1947, in New Ulm, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Walter and Ardella (Stolt) Macho. Joanne was baptized as an infant at the Lutheran Church in Courtland, Minnesota, and later confirmed in her faith as a youth at Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm. She received her education in New Ulm.
On February 20, 1965, Joanne was united in marriage to Ronald Stevensen at Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm. This marriage was blessed with five children, Dawn, Brenda, Brian, Sherry, and Scott. Joanne and Ronald made their home in Gibbon, Minnesota. They shared 34 years of marriage until Ronald passed away on October 19, 1999.
Joanne was employed at 3M for 20 years and also worked as a nurse’s aide at Woodstone Senior Living in Hutchinson, Minnesota, before retiring on January 1, 2017.
Joanne enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing and baking. She also enjoyed coloring and putting together flower arrangements. Joanne especially cherished time spent with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends.
Joanne passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, at The Gardens at Winsted in Winsted, Minnesota, at the age of 77 years.

Brenda Wertz and her husband, Duane of Hutchinson, MN;
Grandchildren, Ashley Wertz, Derek Wertz, Travis Pommerening, Zach (Betsy Otto) Pommerening, Christopher (Liz Brown) Pommerening;
Great-grandchildren, Racyn and Breckyn Wertz;
Sister-in-law, Sandy Macho of Minneapolis, MN;
Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Joanne is preceded in death by her Parents, Walter and Ardella Macho; Husband, Ronald Stevensen; Children, Brian, Sherry, and Scott Stevensen; Siblings, Walter (Harriet) Macho, Jr., Jeanette (Ron) Jenks, Jerome “Butch” Macho, James Macho.
