Service Information

Karen Engelby, age 72, wife of Roy of Glenwood formerly of Winthrop, Minnesota, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016, at CentraCare Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Memorial Service will be Friday, July 8, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop with interment in the Winthrop Cemetery.

Gathering of Family and Friends will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Obituary

Karen Louise (Stark) Engelby was born on December 12, 1943, in rural Fernando, Sibley County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Milton and Karen (Kruse) Stark. Karen was baptized as an infant on January 2, 1944, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth. She received her education at country school.

On June 29, 1979, Karen was united in marriage to Roy Engelby at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon, Minnesota. After their marriage, the couple resided in rural Winthrop and for the past three years in Glenwood, Minnesota. Karen was employed at 3M in New Ulm, Minnesota. Karen and Roy shared 37 years of marriage.

Karen was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop.

Karen enjoyed fishing, camping, and motorcycles, was an avid outdoor person, and loved the lake and her dogs. She loved spending time with her family especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Karen passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016, at CentraCare Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota, at the age of 72 years. Blessed be her memory.

Karen is survived by her:
Husband,       Roy Engelby of Glenwood, formerly of Winthrop, MN;
Children,        Don Boeder and his wife, Patty of Gaylord, MN, and
                        Tammy Robeck and her husband, Bret of Elk River, MN;
Grandchildren, Carrie (Matthew) Williams of Watertown, MN, Amanda (Joe) Klanderman of Fargo, ND, and Mitchell Boeder of Minneapolis, MN;
Great-Grandchildren, Brevin Williams, Braxton Williams, Fiona Williams, Estella Klanderman, Corryn Klanderman, Jarrett Klanderman, and James Klanderman;
Sister, Marlys (Daryl) Taralseth of Baudette, MN;
Brother, Loren Stark of Florida;
Many other relatives and friends.

Karen was preceded in death by her Parents, Milton and Karen Stark; Brother, Neil Stark.
