Kathleen “Toots” Pagel, age 74, of Winthrop passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
Gathering of Family and Friends at Peace Lutheran Church will be Monday, February 19, 2024, from 9:00-11:00 A.M. Memorial Service at 11:00, with interment in the Winthrop Cemetery.
Please join the family for catered lunch at Peace Lutheran Church immediately following.

Kathy, Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathy, a woman of remarkable strength, independence, and beauty, who departed from this world on February 14, 2024. She leaves behind a legacy woven with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Born May 11, 1949, in Winthrop, Minnesota, Kathy was a beacon of resilience from the very beginning. Her unwavering determination and fierce independence shaped her into an extraordinary woman. She faced life's challenges with a quiet grace and an unyielding spirit, inspiring all who knew her.
Above all, Kathy was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her love knew no bounds as she poured her heart and soul into nurturing and guiding her children and grandchildren. Their successes were her pride, and she celebrated each milestone with boundless joy and unwavering support.
A cherished sibling among her brothers and sisters, Kathy treasured the bonds of family. She found solace and strength in their company, sharing laughter, stories, and cherished moments that will forever be etched in their hearts.
Social by nature, Kathy was the life of every gathering. Her vibrant personality and infectious laughter lit up the room, bringing warmth and joy to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Whether it was a family reunion, a game of cards, or a simple coffee date with friends, Kathy had a knack for making everyone feel welcome and cherished.
In the quiet moments of reflection, we find solace in knowing that Kathy has left behind a profound legacy of love, strength, and compassion. Though she may no longer walk beside us, her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, lighting the path forward with her enduring grace and unwavering love.
Kathy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her memory will forever live on in our hearts.
A celebration of Kathy's life will be held on Monday, the 19th of February, 2024, where family and friends will come together to honor her remarkable journey and the love she shared with us all.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Peace Lutheran Church in honor of Kathy's legacy of kindness and compassion.
May Kathy rest in eternal peace, knowing that she was loved beyond measure and her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
