Kayla M. Knight, age 36, of Brownton, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at her home.

Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 3:00-7:00 P.M., at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson, Minnesota.

Obituary

Kayla Marie Knight was born on March 11, 1988, in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Aaron and Linda (Lindberg) Knight. Kayla was baptized as an infant in the Lutheran faith.

Kayla had a huge passion for caretaking and loved working at REM in Hutchinson.

Kayla enjoyed playing the bass guitar. She especially enjoyed listening to Taylor Swift and Elvis. Kayla liked Harry Potter, Twilight, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the Green Bay Packers, and movies starring James Dean. Her favorite quote was from the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer, “The hardest thing in this world is to live in it.” Kayla adored her cats, Casper and Atlas, and loved spending time with her family and friends. She had an amazing and unique sense of humor and was kind to everyone she met.

Kayla passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at her home in Brownton, at the age of 36 years.

Blessed be her memory.

Kayla is survived by her:
Father, Aaron Knight and his significant other, Millie Heimstra of Comstock, WI;
Mother, Linda Knight of Winsted, MN;
Brother, Micheal Knight and his wife, Elizabeth of Chaska, MN;
Cousin, Amanda Anibas;
Cousin, Jedamiah Lindberg;
Many other relatives, friends, and co-workers.

Kayla is preceded in death by her Grandparents, Elmer and Ramona Lindberg; Grandparents, Frank and Irene Knight; Auntie, Marie Ball; Uncles, David Lindberg, Daniel Lindberg; Beloved Pets, Angel and Bellatrix.

    Kayla was a kind soul with a sassy sense of humor. She loved Taylor Swift, the Green Bay Packers but most of all her cats. From the first day I met her, I knew we would be friends. Rest easy, Sassy Lady!! I will miss you.
