Obituary
Kendall Scott Busch was born on February 1, 1966, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was the son of William (Bill) and Loretta (Huber) Busch. Kendall was baptized on August 10, 1980, in Watford City, North Dakota. He was a graduate of the Watford City High School Class of 1984. He furthered his education at Trinity Bible College where he solidified his biblical worldview while simultaneously showing it was possible to ride a dirt bike up three flights of stairs. This resulted in a new rule for the student handbook the next semester, “no motorized vehicles in the dormitories.” After going to Trinity he attended NEI Technical College to get a degree in computer science which he put to good use for many years. Kendall resided in North Dakota and in 1985 he moved to Minnesota.
On October 13, 1990, Kendall was united in marriage to Tracy Johnson at the White Bear Lake Calvary Assembly of God Church in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. After their marriage, the couple resided in St. Paul and in New Auburn for the past 26 years. Kendall was employed as a computer engineer for Rimage. They were blessed with three children, Seth, Hanna, and Emily Joy. Kendall and Tracy shared 30 years of marriage.
Kendall lived his life with the mentality that anything could be fixed with a bible in one hand and tools in the other. He embarked on many career paths, to name a few: swimming pool installer, construction worker, mechanic, computer engineer, and stock market trader. He never knew a stranger. If anyone asked for help, regardless of the task or how well they knew each other, Kendall always said “no problem.” It is unconfirmed but highly speculated that he had the fastest sustainable human walk.
The final piece of wisdom Kendall imparted on his family is that you are invincible until God decides otherwise and brings you home.
Kendall was a member of the New Life Assembly of God Church in Cokato, Minnesota.
Kendall enjoyed building, mechanics, car body work, construction and connecting with people. He cherished the time he spent with his family.
Kendall passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at his home in New Auburn at the age of 55 years. Blessed be his memory.
Kendall is survived by his:
Wife, Tracy Busch;

Kendall was preceded in death by three babies and his Parents, William (Bill) and Loretta Busch.
Robert Martinez says
I had the pleasure of working with Kendall at Rimage. One of my fondest memories was visiting a customer in Puerto Rico, and we had the opportunity to jump into the Caribbean. He didn’t have a care in the world as we swam in the warm water, acting like a couple of kids experiencing the ocean for the first time. I could listen to Kendall all day long, dealing with Ladybugs in the attic, or why I should never slow down when driving over a speed bump. I will always feel blessed to have had the joy of Kendall’s friendship.
Jim and Kerrine Oshanyk says
We were so sorry to hear about Kendall. We remember him from Rugby days. Pastor Bush and Loretta were our pastors there. We remember when the Bush brothers came to visit. One thing we know for sure is that he was United with his parents. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Jim and Kerrine Oshanyk

I’m deeply saddened by the transition of Kendall to his next home. I laughed when I read his obituary. It reminded me of all my time with Kendall and the things he taught me about cars and offensive driving. I don’t recall him ever being without a smile. Kendall was a truly selfless man; a helper to all. Condolences to Tracy and their family. May your memories bring you comfort and, in time, joy.
Much love,
Krista F. Norstog Leonard

I enjoyed my friendship with Kendall. I met him in North Dakota at Trinity Bible College. He and I roomed with my Aunt and Uncle Roger and Peg Ruetten. I guessed he must have liked it in Minnesota as he never left. I lost touch with Kendall but not a bit surprised to see what an outstanding life he led. Today my heart is sad for his family but happy that he finally found peace and perfect health. I have no doubt God has already told Kendall “well done my good and faithful servant.”

Dear Bush Family. With heavy grieving heart we send to you our condolences. Please know you are in out thoughts and we are praying for you. So much can be said of Kendall! It was a minus -10 degrees below zero and I hear a noise in our garage. 11:00 PM at night. No heat in the garage! There is Kendall over hauling the front end of our daughters 1970 Chevy Nova! He had a heart for people! Heaven is sounding Sweeter!

Kendall, thank you for leading me to the Lord. Because of you, Tracy and Pastor Bob my life is transformed. Because of your faithfulness to Lord Jesus you will have received the five Heavenly Crowns. You now have a glorified body. I know that I will see you again, prayerfully in the clouds. Thank you for your love of Jesus and gracefully passing it to all who have ears to hear.
Dave Raskin says
I worked with Kendall at Rimage for close to 13 years. He was a unique individual. Always up beat, always smiling, always ready to do whatever it takes to fix a problem. It always seemed like he had 5 projects going at the same time and you knew that somehow they will all succeed. Kendall had more energy that most people – he would always send himself as an attachment of an email he just sent to me a minute ago, that is to say I would get an email, turn around and there would be Kendall standing by my cube – “Is it fixed yet?” 🙂
My deepest condolences to Kendall’s family.
I will always remember Kendall fondly!
Jim Felt says
My deepest sympathies to the Kendall Busch family. Thinking of you as you grieve the loss of your loved one.
I had the pleasure of working with Kendall at Rimage for many years. He was a joy and inspiration to be around with his strong faith in God, constant smile, sense of humor, great stories and a positive can-do attitude. He could literally fix anything, and quickly! Regarding “It is unconfirmed but highly speculated that he had the fastest sustainable human walk.” I can testify to this as we took many trips together and I had to go into a full sprint just to keep up with Kendall as we made our way through the airports. He will be missed. Hoping beautiful memories will bring you comfort.
Brian Yonkman says
I got to know Kendall through our decades at Rimage. Whenever I needed to “pick his brain,” he always had time to listen and help. No request was ignored. We also got to travel together, which were fond memories.
Eventually we became close friends, which I’m so thankful for. He was not only a great friend but also a great husband, father, and servant of our dear Savior, Jesus. I look forward to seeing him again someday.
Cindy and my prayers are that God will comfort Tracy and the rest of his family with the many promises of God’s word which are “yes and amen in Jesus.” Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Ps. 116:15
Paul and Ranee Krueger says
I’m sorry for your loss. We met Kendall and his family many years ago, and worked with him for a while at Rimage. He helped me work on my house, when I had no idea what I was doing. I had the privilege of running into him again a couple of times in the last 6 months, and I am glad I had the chance to catch up with him before he got called home. I will miss him, but I am reminded that we will meet again. 1 Thess. 4:13-14
