Kenneth A. Exsted,age 83, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, May 31, 2024, at his home in Glencoe.
Private Funeral Service will be held at the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe, with interment following in the Glencoe City Cemetery in Glencoe.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M., at the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe.
Obituary
Kenneth Alfred Exsted was born on October 15, 1940, in Hassan Valley Township, McLeod County, Minnesota. He was the son of Alfred and Elvira (Arlt) Exsted. Kenneth was baptized as an infant on November 12, 1947, in Chisago City, Minnesota. He received his education at the Country School near Biscay, Minnesota.
On March 18, 1961, Kenneth was united in marriage to Mary Unze. The couple resided in Glencoe, Minnesota. This union was blessed with four children, Patricia, Steve, Randy, and Jeff. Kenneth was employed at the Independent Elevator in Glencoe and Arlington for 51 years; working as a foreman, a machine operator, and bagging up feed.
Kenneth enjoyed fishing, baseball, softball, watching the Minnesota Vikings, and spending time with his “Happy Hour” buddies. He cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.
Kenneth passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, at his home in Glencoe at the age of 83 years. Blessed be his memory.

Sons, Steve Exsted of Belle Plaine, MN, Jeff Exsted and his wife, Michelle, of Arlington, MN;
Daughter-in-law, Julene “Julie” Exsted of Glencoe, MN;
Grandchildren, Michael (Cassandra) Exsted, Melissa (Mick) Wertz, Tyler (Marci) Exsted, Mariah (Bernie) Perez, Dylan Exsted, Shaylee Exsted, Krystal Exsted, Cheyenne Fahey;
Great-Grandchildren, Destiney Exsted, Faith Wertz, Nevaeh Wertz, Yandel Perez, Jazzlyn Perez, Everlyn Perez, Emmet Exsted, Greta Exsted, Bryce Exsted, Miles Exsted;
Sister, Glorian Kappel of Glencoe, MN;
Many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his Parents, Alfred and Elvira Exsted; Wife, Mary Exsted; Daughter, Patricia Exsted; Son, Randy Exsted; Sister, Shirley (Roger) Mrkvicka.
