Kevin Compart, age 61, of Gaylord, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The family would like to invite you to celebrate Kevin’s memory on March 31, 2018, at the Egesdal Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. There will be a memory box present in which the family would like you to write down any stories and memories you have of Kevin and place it in the memory box so Kevin’s family can keep his memory alive. Memorials Preferred.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be Saturday, March 31, 2018, from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at the Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord. Kevin’s legacy will live on through stories being shared.
Obituary
Kevin Howard Compart was born on July 3, 1956, in Gaylord, Minnesota and was called to heaven on March 24, 2018. He was the son of Howard and Arlene (Solmonson) Compart. Kevin was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord where he was born and raised. He received his education in Gaylord, and was a graduate of the Gaylord High School Class of 1975.
On September 11, 1998, Kevin was united in marriage to Joyce Holmbeck. Kevin and Joyce resided in Gaylord and shared 19 years of marriage.
Kevin enjoyed spending time with his friends and family shooting the breeze. He also was a big fan of the Minnesota Twins in which you could often find him in his garage listening to the games during the Twins season. He enjoyed many years of hunting and fishing, he loved being in the outdoors. Kevin’s passion for old cars, pretty women, and Guns and Roses were at the core of Kevin’s heart. His fun loving personality will be missed by many.
Kevin passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the age of 61 years.
You’re born, you blink and it’s over. Do your best to follow your arrow and make something amazing out of your time, and never stop smiling, that would be Kevin’s wish for you.

Kevin is preceded in death by his Father, Howard Compart and Daughter, Lindsey Compart.
