Kevin R. Allen, age 58, of Hector, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020, at his home in Hector.

Obituary
Kevin Robert Allen was born on May 5, 1961, in Olivia, Minnesota to Robert and Ruth LuVern (Lange) Allen. He grew up on a farm southwest of Hector. Kevin was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth at Palmyra Covenant Church in rural Hector. He received his education in Hector, and was a graduate of the Hector High School Class of 1980.
Kevin loved animals his whole life and had many over the years. He raised many kinds of ducks, chickens, peacocks, pheasants, doves, cockatiels, his cockatoo Simon, snakes, lizards, cats, dogs, and many others.
Kevin worked for Renville County Community Residence, Inc. for the last 14 years. He also worked for the Cosmos Learning Center for 9 years. He loved taking care of the kids in the Hector House and getting to know their families as well.
On March 9, 2020, Kevin passed away at his home in Hector at the age of 58 years, 10 months, and 4 days. Blessed be his memory.

Kevin is preceded in death by his Parents, Robert and Ruth Allen; Brothers, Douglas Allen and Steven Allen; and his Grandparents.

Kevin had a very special gift that many individuals do not have and that was the love and compassion he provided to so many young men and women.
