LaVerne A. Eurich

Obituary

LaVerne Ann Eurich was born on January 16, 1937, at home in Arlington, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Arthur and Gertrude (Schmidt) Kerkow. LaVerne was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth, both at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Arlington, Minnesota. She received her education in Arlington.

On April 4, 1953, LaVerne was united in marriage to Chris Eurich at the Evangelical Lutheran Church Parsonage in Arlington, Minnesota. LaVerne and Chris were blessed with four children, Gregory, Steven, Susan, and Cynthia. LaVerne was employed at 3M in Hutchinson, Minnesota, working in various positions. She retired on December 31, 1996, after 30 years.

LaVerne was a longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota.

LaVerne loved to travel; over the years she was able to make it to all 50 states and to Canada and Mexico a number of times. LaVerne was a “snowbird” and looked forward to spending the winters in Mission, Texas with all their friends. She enjoyed going camping, playing cards, bowling, and playing shuffleboard. LaVerne had a real eye for photography and loved taking pictures during their travels. She was also a collector, she collected dolls, figurines, coins, and silverware. LaVerne cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

When she needed assistance with her care, LaVerne became a resident of GlenFields Living With Care on December 5, 2023, and passed away there on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at the age of 86 years. Blessed be her memory.

3 Great-Grandchildren; Molly Stevens, Charlie Stevens, and Savanna Ochoa;

LaVerne was preceded in death by her Parents, Arthur and Gertrude Kerkow; Brothers-in-law, Loren Dammann, Warren Volinkaty, Louis Shields, Ray Mellesmoen, and Butch Shoen.
