Obituary

Lawrence “Larry” Peter Smith was born on November 4, 1951, in Tacoma, Washington. He was the son of Peter John Smith Jr. and Theresa Mildred (Liebl) Smith. Larry was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth. He received his education in Fairfax and was a graduate of the Fairfax High School, Class of 1970.

On December 10, 1982, Larry was united in marriage to Cindy Hanson at their home in Mankato, Minnesota. After their marriage, the couple lived in various places before moving back to Fairfax in 1986. Larry held employment in various jobs. He was a loving husband, dad and grandfather. Larry and Cindy shared 34 years of marriage.

Larry enjoyed flying, gardening, crafts, playing pool, animals, tinkering, and planting trees. He cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.

Larry passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at his home in rural Fairfax at the age of 65 years. Blessed be his memory.

Larry is survived by his:
Wife,           Cindy Smith of Fairfax, MN;
Daughter,    Crystal Smith of Fairfax, MN;
Granddaughter, Kirsten Smith;
Sister, Debra Neeley and her husband, Bruce of IA;
Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his Parents, Peter and Theresa Smith; Brothers, Bruce Smith and Billy Smith in infancy.
