Service Information
Leland A. Schiro, age 63, husband of Carol, of Cosmos, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos, Minnesota with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. (two hours prior to the service) all at Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos.
Obituary
Leland Allen Schiro was born on January 18, 1958, in Litchfield, Meeker County, Minnesota, the son of Donald and Verna (Schlueter) Schiro. He was baptized as an infant on February 9, 1958, and was confirmed in his faith in the Spring of 1973 both at Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos, Minnesota. Leland received his education in Cosmos and was a graduate and Valedictorian of the Cosmos High School Class of 1976.
On August 1, 2018, Leland was united in marriage to Carol Safranski in Las Vegas, Nevada. Leland and Carol resided in Cosmos.
Leland was employed as a Diesel Mechanic for Holt Motors and Riebe Trucking for numerous years. Leland enjoyed riding motorcycles in his younger years, helping fixing and working on anything with an engine, and gardening. He also enjoyed helping out on the family farm, driving his tractors, spending time at AJ acres camping, and teaching the kids all about Hog roasting and canning with son Landon and granddaughter Lily. Leland especially enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and many great friends.
Leland passed away on June 1, 2021, at 2:49 pm at the young age of 63 years with his family by his side.

Spouse, Carol Schiro;
Children, Landon (Alexandria) Schiro, Amber Safranski and Chad Kalis;
Granddaughter, Lillian Schiro;
Grandson, Riley Keenan;
Many other relatives and friends.
Leland is preceded in death by his Parents, Donald and Verna Schiro; Infant Daughter, Sherri Schiro; Father-in-Law, Robert Safranski; Mother-in-Law, Delphine Safranski; Brother-in-Law, Roger Kurth; and Niece, Paula Schlangen.

Leland was an amazing mani am landons mother leslie Leland and I also had a baby girl Sherri who unfortunately only lived for one day Leland always mourned that little girl he never quite got over her passing now he can be with her for eternity Leland was an amazing mechanic he started out at Hackbarth implement in downtown cosmos after that he’worked at Massey Ferguson in willmar and than at

I’m Leslie I am landon mother Leland and I were married young we had a daughter Sherri who only lived for a day in which Leland never did get over mourning his little girl Sherri and now he can be with her in it for eternity and we had our son Landon and Landon had it his first daughter Lily and Grace and Leland loved it loved that little girl so much but he was too papa demon was an excellent mechanic he started out as at Hackbarth implement in downtown cosmos then he went on to work at Massey Ferguson in Wilmer and ended up at whole motor in cokato
Besides working on the family farm in cosmos and doing our jobs for other people he was exceptional man and he was greatly loved by all and will be missed by all so sad taken from us too young
