Leroy and Rosie are a special couple of friends in the Larry and Kay Husfeldt relationship. We met at a 3m steak fry in 1987. Larry introduced them to Kay as his best friends. Larry turned 49 that August and Kay wanted to arrange a surprise birthday party for Larry at the Lake Marion Supper Club. Since she was working in the metro area, and she did not know who to invite to the party, Leroy and Rosie were of great help. After Kay and Larry were married, she would visit around the neighborhood. Kay asked Leroy for directions to their farm and he said, “You take a left where the old round schoolhouse used to be.” That didn’t help Kay, since she didn’t know where the old round schoolhouse used to be. Kay asked Leroy for the street number, and he replied, ” Let me think about that!”
Leroy had the most subtle sense of humor; he would sneak in a funny quip, and share that smile. and you just had to laugh out loud!
We will both miss Leroy and Rosie together as our friends-and they were always together.
God has reunited them in Heaven to be together forever-a great reward for lives well lived.
Todd and Terrie, you have our greatest sympathy at the passing of Leroy, and of course Rosie as well. Be comforted in HIS blessings at this time of your grief. Your parents were kind, sharing, loving community and church going citizens. God called them Home so they could be together again. We understand how much you will miss them, because we will miss them too.
God Bless
Larry and Kay Husfeldt
