Leslie Carl Knacke, age 77, of Hutchinson, Husband of Audrey, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018, at Lakeside Health Care Center in Dassel, Minnesota.
Memorial Services will be held Sunday, January 21, 2018, 4:00 P.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson with interment in the spring.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Sunday, January 21, 2018, two hours prior to the service at the church.
Arrangements are with the Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel.
Obituary
Leslie Carl Knacke was born on September 26, 1940, in Hutchinson, Minnesota. He was the son of Arthur and Marie (Christenson) Knacke. Leslie was baptized as an infant at Franklin Street Baptist Church in Hutchinson and was later confirmed in his faith as an adult at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. He received his education in Hutchinson.
Leslie entered the Minnesota National Guard on June 29, 1959, in Hutchinson, Minnesota. He received an Honorable Discharge on February 7, 1963, in Hutchinson, and achieved the rank of Private First Class (PVT) E2.
On May 7, 1961, Leslie was united in marriage to Audrey Beilke at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. This marriage was blessed with three children, Nancy, David and Scott. Leslie and Audrey resided in Hutchinson their entire lives. Leslie and Audrey shared 56 years of marriage.
Leslie was employed with the Hutchinson Public Schools as a Custodian. He retired in June of 2003. Leslie was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
Leslie enjoyed the art of woodworking and playing cards. He also loved to attend the Brainerd International Raceway (BIR) motorcycle races along with watching stock car racing. Leslie loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and his rendezvous of re-enacting the fur trading era. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
Leslie passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2018, at the Dassel Lakeside Health Care Center, at the age of 77 years. He will be dearly missed. Blessed be his memory.

Great Grandchildren, Megan Nelson, Dacotah Nelson, Mikila Donahue, Valerie Donahue;
Brother, Owen Knacke and his wife, Lorie of Hutchinson, MN;
Sister In-Law, Marlys “Dolly” Knacke of Dassel, MN;
Nieces, Nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Leslie is preceded in death by his, Parents Arthur and Marie Knacke; Son, Scott Knacke; Brother, Kenneth Knacke.
