Service Information
Loretta Lipke, age 88, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Ecumen Lakeview Commons in Maplewood, Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be Friday, February 20, 2026, 11:00 A.M. at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson, with interment in Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Obituary
Loretta Lavonne Lipke was born on September 22, 1937, in Buffalo Lake, Minnesota. She was the daughter of William and Mamie (Piehl) Lipke. Loretta was baptized as an infant on November 14, 1937, and later confirmed on June 11, 1950, both at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo Lake. She received her education in Hutchinson, Minnesota, and was a graduate of the Hutchinson High School class of 1955.
Loretta moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota and became a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Sioux Falls. She was baptized in Jesus’ name July 24, 1955, and received the Holy Ghost speaking in other tongues on July 31,1955. Loretta moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she received her Bible education and was a graduate of the Apostolic Bible College class of 1960. Loretta moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where she was employed at the Federal Bureau of Sport Fisheries and Wildlife. Loretta transferred with her job to Seattle, Washington before moving back to Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was employed at the Army Corps of Engineers. Loretta retired in 2001. She was a faithful member of the Apostolic Bible Church in Oakdale, Minnesota and loved teaching Sunday school.
Loretta enjoyed tending to her lawn and flowers, hiking, baking, and reading. She especially enjoyed a good laugh, a cup of coffee, pie, ice cream, or a chocolate chip cookie! Loretta loved spending time with her family and friends.
Loretta went to her eternal home on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Ecumen Lakeview Commons in Maplewood, Minnesota, at the age of 88 years.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Nieces and Nephews, William (Frances) Curran, Carol Ann Burleson, Virginia (Wayne) Tietz, Cindy (Kevin) Lind, Lisa (John) Loegering, Michael Lipke, June (Cody) Hattan; Many other relatives and friends.
Loretta is preceded in death by her Parents, William and Mamie Lipke; Siblings, Clarence (Ina) Lipke, Merrill (MaryLou) Lipke, Ramona (Birt) Curran, Marian (Vernon) Nash.

Loretta was a sweet lady!! She seemed to always be busy; with church garage sales, Sunday School, and working around her house which was always very tidy and clean!

My sympathies to the family of Loretta. I never met her but she sounds like a beautiful soul. She was my Great Grandma Anna Bartels niece. I could not help noticing how much like my ggm she looked! May she rest peacefully in her Saviors arms!
