Lorraine Buck

Obituary

Lorraine Louise Pauline Buck was born on June 26, 1929, in New Auburn, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Halbert and Martha (Bembenek) Otto. Lorraine was baptized as an infant on July 14, 1929, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 18, 1943, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sibley Township, Sibley County, Minnesota. She went to District #53 country school and was a graduate of the Gaylord High School Class of 1947.

On July 23, 1947, Lorraine was united in marriage to Raymond Buck at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Arlington by Reverend John Bradike. After their marriage, the couple resided in Gaylord. They were blessed with two children. In 1965, Lorraine and Ray opened Ray Buck’s Garage until 1990 when they retired.

Lorraine was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Gaylord and was actively involved in church and Ladies Aid.

Lorraine enjoyed gardening, bowling, collecting shot glasses, fishing, going to the lake, and cooking with the grandchildren. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

When she needed assistance with her care, Lorraine became a resident of the Mala Strana Rehabilitation Center in New Prague and passed away there on Sunday, March 15, 2020, at the age of 90 years. Blessed be her memory.

Great-Grandchildren, Andrew Lind, Brooklyn Kuehl, Tammy-Lynn Buck, Lucas Buck, Grace-Lynn Buck, Logan Buck, Sawyer Lind, and Presley Lind;
Sister, Gloria McGonigle and her husband, Glenn of Gaylord, MN;
Nieces and Nephews, Lori Peterson, Amy Kopachek and her husband, Steven, Patricia Klapotz and her husband, Greg, Kim McGonigle and her special friend, Gary, and Lisa McGonigle;
Great Nieces and Great Nephews, Scott Peterson, Joshua Kopachek, Adam Kopachek, and Rick Klapotz.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her Parents, Halbert and Martha Otto; Husband, Raymond Buck; Grandson, Timothy Buck; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Henry and Katherine Buck; Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Harold and Arline Buck.
