Lorraine Weberg

Obituary

Lorraine Mavis Weberg was born on September 3, 1929, in Fairfax, Minnesota. She was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta, Minnesota. She received her education in Echo, Minnesota, and was a graduate of the Echo High School Class of 1947.

On June 6, 1948, Lorraine was united in marriage to Marlin Otto Schiffman at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta, Minnesota. The couple farmed by Degraff, Minnesota, until 1963, and then moved to Clara City, Minnesota.

On May 17, 1986, Lorraine was united in marriage to Emil Weberg in Raymond, Minnesota. After their marriage, the couple resided in Maynard. Lorraine was employed at the Clara City Nursing Home as a nurses aid for 11 ½ years and was a cashier for Pamida for 5 ½ years. Lorraine and Emil shared three years of marriage before Emil passed away in 1989.

Lorraine was a member of Norwegian Grove Lutheran Church in Sibley Township.

Lorraine enjoyed plants, flowers, gardening, singing, sewing, reading, traveling, collecting plates and spending time outside. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Lorraine passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at the Glencoe Regional Health Services-Long Term Care in Glencoe at the age of 88 years. Blessed be her memory.

Grandchildren, Angelia Broeckert and her husband, Robert, Amandia Schiffman and her fiancé, John Tawney, Shannon VanHove, Nathan Deppe and his wife, Kristine, Nicholas Deppe and his wife, Breanna, Nicole Hoffoss and her husband, James, Jeremy Espeland and his wife, Kelsey, and Rachel Espeland;
Several Great-Grandchildren;
Several Great-Great-Grandchildren;
Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her Parents, Spencer and Florence Haugly; First Husband, Marlin Schiffman; Second Husband, Emil Weberg; Brother, Lawrence Haugly and his wife, Ethel; Two Schiffman Grandchildren in infancy; and Great-Granddaughter, Marya Christiansen.
