Service Information

Luella C. Greiner, age 86, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.

Memorial Service will be Friday, August 29, 11:00 A.M., at Hughes-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hector, Minnesota, with interment in the Hector City Cemetery.

Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. (two hours prior) to the service at the funeral chapel.

Obituary

Luella Catherine Greiner was born on January 6, 1939, in Hector, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Theodore “Ted” and Faye (Schiebel) Hauer. Luella was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth, both at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hector. She received her education in Hector and was a graduate of the Hector High School class of 1957.

On April 12, 1958, Luella was united in marriage to Arnold Greiner at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hector. This marriage was blessed with five children; Debra, Gayle, Terry, Laurie, and Dwane. Luella and Arnold made their home in Buffalo Lake, Minnesota. They shared 45 years of marriage until Arnold passed away on November 17, 2003.

Luella was employed at 3M in Hutchinson, Minnesota, for 30 years until her retirement in 1996. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bird Island, Minnesota.

Luella enjoyed sewing and embroidering dishtowels. She also enjoyed gardening and reading. Luella especially loved time spent with her family, grandchildren, and friends.

Luella passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, at the age of 86 years.

Children, Debra Danielson (Jeffrey) of Fairfax, MN,
Gayle Maurer (Larry) of Stewart, MN,
Terry Suess of Glencoe, MN,
Laurie Wendorff (Steve) of Hutchinson, MN;
Daughter-in law, Nancy Greiner of Biscay, MN;
18 Grandchildren;
35 Great-grandchildren;
2 Great-great-grandchildren;
11 Siblings and their spouses;
1 Sister-in-law;
Many Nieces and Nephews.

Luella is preceded in death by her Husband, Arnold Greiner; Son, Dwane Greiner; Great-grandchild, Ashtan Suess; Parents, Ted and Faye Hauer; Father- and Mother-in-law, Eldon and Laura Greiner; Brothers-in-law, Curt Zumwinkle, Norman Greiner, Delis Greiner; Sister-in-law Doris Greiner.
