Madeline Siverhus, age 79, of Plato, formerly of Sandstone, Minnesota, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at her son’s home in Plato, Minnesota.
Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 13, 2020, 11:00 A.M. at Paul McBride Funeral Chapel in Norwood Young America, Minnesota, with interment following at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Friday, March 13, 2020, from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M., one hour prior the service at Paul McBride Funeral Chapel in Norwood Young America, Minnesota.
Obituary
Madeline (Soares) Siverhus was born on December 5, 1940, in Fall River, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of John and Mary (Avila) Soares. Madeline was baptized as an infant in April of 1941.
On December 21, 1971, Madeline was united in marriage to Larry Siverhus, in Fall River, Massachusetts. They made their home in Fall River and then moved to Isanti, Minnesota, in 1978. Madeline and Larry’s life was blessed with 6 boys, Larry Jr., Chris, Rob, Tom, Michael, and Frank. Madeline and Larry shared over 44 years of marriage, until Larry passed away on November 27, 2016.
Madeline was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She also worked as a linen aide at Grandview Nursing Home in Cambridge, Minnesota, for many years.
Madeline enjoyed going to the casino, camping, shopping, and spending time with her friend and her family whom she treasured.
Madeline passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at her son’s home in Plato, Minnesota, at the age of 79 years, 2 months, and 30 days.

Chris Siverhus and his fiancée Peggy Flusemann, of Plato, MN,
Rob Siverhus and his fiancée Nicholle Bode, of Zimmerman, MN,
Tom Siverhus of Cambridge, MN;
Grandchildren: McKaye Siverhus, Mariah Siverhus, Zach Siverhus, Brittany Larson Siverhus, Hannah Siverhus, Kendall
Siverhus; and eight great grand-children;
Brother: Manuel Soares;
Nephews, Nieces, other relatives and many friends.
Madeline is preceded in death by her Parents, John and Mary Soares; Husband, Larry Siverhus; Sons, Michael and Frank, Sisters, Mary Souza, Sally Arruda, Gert Deda, Angie Imbriglio, Patricia Luciana; Brothers, John, Arthur, Edward, William “Butch”, Robert, and Thomas.
