Margaret A. Jensrud, age 97, of Litchfield, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Emmaus Place in Litchfield.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 24, 2025, 11:00 A.M., at St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Litchfield, with interment in Calvary Cemetery, Litchfield.
Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 A.M., two hours prior to the service at the church.

Obituary
Margaret Ann Jensrud was born on January 12, 1928, in Stephen, Minnesota. She was the daughter of John and Rose (Florek) Safranski, Sr. Margaret was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth. She received her education through the eighth grade at Schey School District 18 in Alma Township, rural Argyle, Minnesota.
On August 5, 1953, Margaret was united in marriage to Ervin Jensrud. This marriage was blessed with nine children, Gary, Craig, Sandy, Linda, Ricky, David, Mary, Rebecca, and Sue. Margaret and Ervin resided in Argyle, Stranquist and Fertile, before moving to Litchfield, Minnesota in 1961. They shared 66 years of marriage prior to the passing of Ervin on June 4, 2020.
Margaret was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker for her family. She retired at age 65. Margaret was a member of the St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Litchfield and volunteered at St. Philip’s Catholic School for many years.
Margaret enjoyed cooking and baking. She could not wait for fall harvest to do her canning. Margaret especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.
Margaret passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Ecumen Emmaus Place in Litchfield, at the age of 97 years.

Sue Schneider and her husband, John of St. Cloud, MN;
24 Grandchildren;
68 Great-grandchildren;
Many other relatives and friends.
Margaret is preceded in death by her Parents, John and Rose Safranski, Sr.; Husband, Ervin Jensrud; Sons, Gary and Craig Jensrud.

She was a very special lady. I was privileged to call her auntie!!! I’m so glad I got to spend a whole year with her. I learned a lot from her, especially how to have peace and accept everything as Gods will. She talked a lot about her family and how much she loved you all!!!! I did talk alot to her on the phone.
