Obituary

Margaret Clara (Schloegel) Steinborn was born on May 25, 1930, in Henderson, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Scheiber) Schloegel. Margaret was baptized on June 8, 1930, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Henderson. She was confirmed in her faith as a youth on July 2, 1940, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Arlington, Minnesota. Margaret received her education in Arlington and graduated from the Sibley East High School.

Margaret was united in marriage to Raymond L. Steinborn on February 14, 1953, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Arlington. The family resided in St. Paul, Minnesota for 12 years while Raymond was employed there. In 1965, the family moved to New Auburn, Minnesota. Margaret and Raymond were blessed with 6 children; Pearl, David, Cindy, Tim, Steve, and Rich. The couple shared 42 years together when Raymond passed away on March 12, 1995.

Margaret was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. After her children grew older, she began working at 3M in Hutchinson, Minnesota. She was employed there for 18 years. Margaret was a faithful member of the Church of St. Pius X in Glencoe. Margaret looked forward to attending mass, found comfort in reading her daily devotionals and bible, and said her rosary at least three times a day.

Margaret was a kind person and always cared for others. She had a wonderful sense of humor. Her children will attest that she was the “BEST MOM EVER!” She enjoyed reading books and working on crossword puzzles. Margaret enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and catching up on her Soap Operas. She also enjoyed going to play Bingo. Spending time with her family, friends, and cats, was time she truly cherished.

Margaret passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Bayside Manor in Gaylord, at the age of 94 years, 9 months, and 25 days. Blessed be her memory.
