Marian Sylvia Henke, age 89, of Gaylord, Minnesota, mother of Mary Langhorst, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at Oak Terrace Health Care Center in Gaylord, Minnesota.
A private family Memorial Service will be held at Egesdal Funeral Chapel in Gaylord. Interment will be in Fort Snelling in Minneapolis.
Obituary
Marian Sylvia Henke was born on July 2, 1928, in Gaylord, Minnesota. She was the daughter of William R. and Agnes (Maass) Zachow. Marian was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth, both at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord. She received her education in Gaylord, and was a graduate of the Gaylord High School Class of 1946.
On September 19, 1953, Marian was united in marriage to LeRoy Melvin Henke at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord. This marriage was blessed with two children, Michael and Mary. Marian and LeRoy resided in Gaylord most of their lives. They shared 57 years of marriage together, until LeRoy passed away on February 4, 2012.
Marian was a loving and caring mother. She also worked outside the home for Dr. Duesterhoeft as his assistant in his home office. She later worked at the Gaylord Medical Clinic.
Marian enjoyed cabin living, planting evergreens, canning sauerkraut, quilting, fishing and refurbishing old trunks with LeRoy. She was an avid Minnesota Vikings Fan. Marian’s greatest love was her family and friends and the time she spent with them. She loved taking care of her grandchildren. All gifts were never boughten but made with her hands.
Marian passed away on Tuesday, October 03, 2017, at the Oak Terrace Health Care Center in Gaylord at the age of 89 years, with her loving family by her side. Blessed be her memory.

Roman (Red) Zachow of Gaylord, MN;
Sisters-In-Law, Maxine Maass of Gaylord, MN, and Doris Zachow of Minneapolis, MN;
Nieces, Nephews and other relatives and friends.
Marian is preceded in death by her Parents, William and Agnes Zachow; Husband, LeRoy Henke; Son, Michael Henke; Brother, Merton Zachow; Brothers-In-Law, Willard Henke, Maynard Henke, Merlin Bergs, Jim Agre, and Dale Maass; Sisters-In-Law, Viola Bergs, Gwen Henke, and Ruth Henke.
