Obituary
Marjorie Ann Briesemeister was born on September 3, 1954, in the Watertown Hospital in Carver County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Vernon and Elaine (Zuehl) Briesemeister. Margie was baptized on September 19, 1954, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in New Germany, Minnesota, and was later confirmed in her faith on April 7, 1968, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie by Reverend Norman Steinke. She received her education in Lester Prairie and was a graduate of the Lester Prairie Public School Class of 1972.
On June 3, 1972, Margie was united in marriage to Jerome Herrmann by Reverend Arthur Rasch at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie. The couple moved to Lester Prairie in 1974 and made their forever home there. Their marriage was blessed with five children, Jennifer, Terri, Angela, Rebecca, and Michael, and nine grandchildren. Margie and Jerome shared over 51 years of marriage.

She served as a Sunday School teacher, was a member as well as the director of the church choir, was on the board of education, and served with the LWML. Being a part of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church brought her great joy and a feeling of fulfillment for many years. Margie ran a daycare out of her home for a number of years and later worked at Young America Corporation in Norwood Young America.
Margie enjoyed going on camping trips and sitting around the campfire telling stories. She and Jerome enjoyed spending time together riding motorcycle the last 18 years. She was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan. When her children were in school Margie enjoyed attending all their sporting events. In her earlier years, she enjoyed bowling and coaching the church softball team with her sister.
