Service Information
Marlene L. Schrupp, age 76, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at The Gardens at Winsted in Winsted, Minnesota.
Memorial Service will be Saturday, June 14, 2025, 11:30 A.M., at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson, with interment in Oakland Cemetery, Hutchinson.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Obituary
Marlene Louise Schrupp was born on April 1, 1949, in Hamburg, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Harold and Esther (Templin) Schrupp. Marlene was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg. She received her education in Norwood Young America, and was a graduate of the Norwood Young America High School Class of 1967.
On April 28, 1970, Marlene was united in marriage to James Mitsche, Sr. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg This marriage was blessed with two sons, James Jr. and Jason. Marlene and James resided in Savage and Stewart, Minnesota most of their married life. They shared 47 years of marriage prior to the passing of James on October 3, 2018.
Marlene was employed in production at Hutchinson Technologies Inc. in Hutchinson. She retired in 2015. Marlene was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson.
Marlene enjoyed crafts, crocheting, knitting, and sewing. She also enjoyed gardening and playing games on the computer. She cherished spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.
Marlene passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at The Gardens at Winsted in Winsted, Minnesota, at the age of 76 years.

Marlene is survived by her Sons, James Mitsche, Jr. and his wife, Bonita of Deland, FL, Jason Mitsche and his wife, Erica of Fargo, ND; Grandchildren, Nickolas Mitsche, Abigail Mitsche, Jacob Mitsche, Dustin Habelton, Desiree Edwards and her husband, Jamison, Derek Hableton, Kaelee Mitsche, William Mitsche; Sisters, Elaine Mitsche of Sauk Centre, MN, Karen Bentz and her husband, Brad of Hamburg, MN; Five Great-grandchildren; Many Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Marlene is preceded in death by her Parents, Harold and Esther Schrupp; Brother, Richard Schrupp; Sister, Eunice Schrupp; Brother-in-law, Louis Mitsche.
