Marlo D. Leske

Obituary

Marlo Donovan Leske was born on January 25, 1934, in Buffalo Lake, Minnesota. He was the son of Ervin and LaVonne (Bryan) Leske. Marlo was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in his faith as a youth, both at Zion United Methodist Church in Buffalo Lake. He received his education in Buffalo Lake and was a graduate with the Buffalo Lake High School class of 1952.

On October 4, 1957, Marlo was united in marriage to Genevie Ann Rath at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo Lake. This marriage was blessed with five daughters, Theresa, Marcia, Wanda, Sheila, and Valeria. Marlo and Genevie resided in rural Buffalo Lake, Minnesota. They shared 63 years of marriage.

Marlo was a lifelong farmer until his retirement in 1996. After retiring from farming, he enjoyed woodworking and sold his benches, shelves, birdhouses, and more at craft shows around the area.

He also enjoyed fishing, traveling, bird watching, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Marlo passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at The Gardens at Winsted, Minnesota, at the age of 87 years.
