Mike and family,
I’m so sorry for your loss. This was quite a shock. Mary was one of my original trainers at work. We were colleagues and friends. I had the pleasure of getting to meet her in person last year and give her a big hug. We’d also keep in touch by text. I’m just glad she had the opportunity to spend dedicated time with her family after retirement. RIP Mary.

Mike and Family,
Mary and I go all the way back to high school. Even though there were times when distance and life in general made it difficult to stay close, I count it a privilege to count Mary as a friend. You have lost much. Peace be to you and your families during this most difficult of times.

I worked and played with Mary in the early 80’s. So smart, so funny, and we had many wonderful, fun adventures. I missed her and we did get back in touch in the 2010’s. One of the best people I’ve known. My heartfelt condolences to the family!!

It’s fitting that the Degner farm is the place to celebrate Mary’s life, as it is here many of is celebrated her marriage to Mike.
My connection with Mary was Victoria softball when my youngest girls joined with Sahara to play for the team Mary was coaching on her own.
Her energy alone was enough to prod me into asking if I could help her with the team. She said, “Hell, yes!”
She schooled me well, and then I learned she had worked in Philadelphia, which, it happens, is where we are from. The bond, at that point, was sealed. I pray she felt the same.
Then came glorious days at Floyd’s. It was local, it was fun, and it was where I first met Mike, and then quickly realized Mary and Mike were in love!
So, they then united here in this very space and now we celebrate her eternal grace.
A great woman in my life.
