Service Information
MaryAnn Rhodes, age 79, of Hector, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018, at her home.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Hector, with interment in the Hector City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday for one hour prior to the service at Church.
Obituary
MaryAnn Alvina Rhodes was born September 22, 1938, in Hector, Minnesota, the daughter of Clarence and Anna (Kissner) Macheledt. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hector. MaryAnn grew up in Hector before moving to St. Paul Park where she graduated from the Park Senior High School.
After leaving Hector, MaryAnn lived in St. Paul Park and Aitkin, Minnesota. Her life was blessed with eleven children. On June 30, 1984, MaryAnn was united in marriage to Lloyd “Dusty” Rhodes at the Pine Lake Chapel United Methodist Church in Aitkin. They made their home in St. Paul Park, but returned to Aitkin after retirement and built their log home. In 1992 MaryAnn and Lloyd came home to Hector, and enjoyed life together until Dusty passed away on November 18, 2005.
MaryAnn was a faithful member of the Hector United Methodist Church, and was active with U.M.W. Outdoors she enjoyed camping and gardening, and indoors she enjoyed embroidering and jigsaw puzzles. MaryAnn had wonderful friends and support through her Red Hat group, church family, senior dining friends, and coffee girlfriends. MaryAnn loved her family, and enjoyed spending time with them.
Following a brief illness, MaryAnn passed away at home surrounded by her family, on Thursday evening, June 14, 2018, having reached the age of 79 years. Blessed be her memory.

nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
MaryAnn was preceded in death by her Parents, Clarence and Anna Macheledt, Husband Lloyd Rhodes, Son Tim Carrigan, Son Johnathon Rhodes; Daughter Colleen Carrigan; Granddaughter Becky Philipp; Brother Jerome Macheledt, Brother-in-law Wally Masters.

When I think of you, I immediately remember for beautiful smile, generous heart, and your calming gentleness. You were a wonderful friend to Jack and Rena Morain and all of us kids had a GREAT time “Up North.” I mean really, you had 14 of us running and screaming and acting silly whenever we got together. I know that you’re heart is at peace now that you’re with Dusty.
