Obituary

Mavis Lily Frauendienst was born on January 3, 1949, in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Alvin and Eileen (Schauer) Harbarth. Mavis was baptized as an infant on January 23, 1949, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 7, 1963, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord. She received her education in Gaylord.

On August 27, 1966, Mavis was united in marriage to Edwin Frauendienst at Peace Lutheran Church in Glencoe. After their marriage, the couple resided in New Auburn. Mavis was employed at Fingerhut and was currently employed at Michael Foods in Gaylord. Edwin and Mavis were blessed with three children. They shared 51 years of marriage.

Mavis was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Auburn and the Ladies Aid.

Mavis was a hard worker and loved the outdoors. She enjoyed working on the farm, bailing hay, driving tractor, camping in Hackensack, shopping, going to craft fairs, traveling, especially to Nashville, watching RFD-TV, and helping others. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mavis passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 69 years. Blessed be her memory.

Children,         Tim Frauendienst and his special friend, Sue Mathews of Gaylord, MN, and
                        Tom Frauendienst and his wife, Danielle of Gaylord, MN;
Grandchildren, John Frauendienst and his wife, Gretta, Jacob Frauendienst and special friend, Abby Berkness, and Jayla Frauendienst;
Siblings, Marlys Warzecha and her husband, Jerome of Glencoe, MN, Lois Urban and her husband, Gerald of Amboy, MN, and Doris Will of Gaylord, MN;
Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mavis was preceded in death by her Parents, Alvin and Eileen Harbarth; Daughter, Tamara Marlys Frauendienst.
