Maynard Husfeldt, age 93 of Gaylord, Minnesota passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Ridgeview-Sibley Medical Center in Arlington.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 24, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord, with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 23, 2016, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Obituary
Maynard Christian Husfeldt was born on March 10, 1923, in Folden Township, Otter Tail County, Minnesota. He was the son of William and Olga (Menk) Husfeldt. Maynard was baptized as an infant on April 8, 1923, by Reverend Theo Kegel in Henning, Minnesota, and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth on April 5, 1936, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nicollet, Minnesota. He received his education at District #53 Country School.
On June 1, 1947, Maynard was united in marriage to Cordella Kistner by Reverend Bradtke at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington, Minnesota. After their marriage, the couple farmed in Sibley Township, Sibley County, Minnesota, retiring in January of 1986. They moved to 710 High Street in Gaylord until May 28, 2016, when they moved to Oak Terrace Retirement Community in Gaylord. This marriage was blessed with three children. Maynard and Cordella shared 69 years of marriage.
Maynard was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord. He was a member of the Men’s Club, the church council, DHIA Board, 4-H Leader for many years and an active member of the Forever Young Senior Center.
Maynard enjoyed square dancing, playing cards, old time dancing and old time music. He cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Maynard passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016, at the Ridgeview Sibley Medical Center in Arlington, at the age of 93 years. Blessed be his memory.

Children, Doris (Husfeldt) Christianson and her husband, Leonard of Birchwood, WI, and
Daryl Husfeldt and Special Friend, Susie Becker of Hutchinson, MN;
11 Grandchildren, Caroline (Husfeldt) Gronholz and her husband, Aaron, Brian Husfeldt and his wife, Becky, Kraig Husfeldt and his wife, Katie, and Michael Husfeldt and his wife, Brianna, Gary Christianson and his wife, Nicole, Todd Christianson and his wife, Nina, Kurt Christianson and his wife, Brianna, Jeremy Husfeldt and his wife, Alisha, Ryan Husfeldt and his wife, Amanda, Adam Husfeldt and his wife, Leah, Scott Husfeldt and his wife, Whitney;
23 Great-Grandchildren, Baryn, Olivia and Claudia Gronholz, Benjamin and William Husfeldt, Mason and Lucas Husfeldt, Liam and Hazel Husfeldt, Luke and Charlie Christianson, Addelay, Bennett, Cullen and Declan Christianson, Tucker Christianson, Madalyn and Jackson Husfeldt, Arianna and Brekken Husfeldt, Greyson Husfeldt, Treyton and Tucker Husfeldt;
Daughter-In-Law, Ardis Husfeldt of Gaylord, MN;

Maynard was preceded in death by his Parents, William and Olga Husfeldt; and Son, Dale Husfeldt on November 4, 2011.
