Michael J. Lothert, age 62, of Hector, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 10, 2024, at 10:00 A.M., at the Hughes-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hector, with interment in the Morton City Cemetery in Morton, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M., one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials preferred.
Obituary
Michael “Mike” John Lothert was born to Marlow and Darlene (Meyer) Lothert in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, on June 27, 1961. Mike was baptized and confirmed in the WELS Lutheran Faith at St. Matthew’s Church in Danube. Mike attended Danube School. He was involved in wrestling and also attended Olivia School. He received his GED and also received his certificate for welding as he worked for Christenson Systems, Inc. in Blomkest, Minnesota, for over 35 years. Mike worked for a farmer by Olivia, and also drove for Gibson and was an over the road trucker for a short time.
Mike was united in marriage to Joyce Torgerson on March 24, 2005, in Montevideo, Minnesota. The lived in many different places including Belview, Danube, Lake Lillian, Maynard, Olivia, Willmar and most recently Hector, Minnesota.
Mike enjoyed spending time with his wife, Joyce and Donavin, his animals, and family and friends. He enjoyed wood working, fixing stuff, working at Christenson Systems, Inc., watching NASCAR and A&E shows. He liked many different types of music and helping their neighbor, Velma in Willmar. Mike drove the Ed’s truck in many parades for the Salvation Army and helped the Salvation Army in Willmar in many ways under the direction of Captain Linda F. Jones. He drove the Ed’s Truck to the Celebrate the Lights at the Chad Korsman home.
Mike passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester at the age of 62 years. Blessed be his memory.
