Service Information

Myron K. Dahlke, age 73, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson, Minnesota.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 25, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Glencoe, Minnesota with interment following at the First Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 24, 2022, from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe, Minnesota and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Military Honors by the Glencoe Military Honor Guard.

Obituary

Myron Kenneth Dahlke was born on January 5, 1949, in Gaylord, Minnesota. He was the son of Victor and Luella (Wentzlaff) Dahlke. Myron was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth on April 15, 1962, both at Zion Lutheran Country Church in Arlington, Minnesota. He received his education in Glencoe, Minnesota, and graduated with the Glencoe High School class of 1967. Myron continued his education at Mankato State University and received a degree in Business Management.

On January 20, 1969, Myron entered active military service and served in the United States Navy. He served as an Engine Mechanic with the rank of Engineman Third Class during the Vietnam War. He was Honorably Discharged on December 1, 1972.

On December 19, 1971, Myron was united in marriage to Julie Jungclaus at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Glencoe, Minnesota. After their marriage, the couple resided in Glencoe. Myron and Julie were blessed with three children, Mike, Matthew, and Mark.

Myron was a plant manager at various manufacturing firms in Minnesota over the years until he retired. During retirement Myron worked part-time for Glencoe Regional Health.  He also spent much of his retirement doing projects for family and friends. 

Myron enjoyed reading books, taking road trips with his wife, Julie, and riding motorcycle in his younger years. He cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.

Myron passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson, Minnesota, at the age of 73 years. Blessed be his memory.

Myron is survived by his:
Children, Mike Dahlke and his wife, Val of Brownton, MN,
                Matthew Dahlke and his wife, Amy of Bigfork, MN,
                Mark Dahlke of Glencoe, MN;
Grandchildren, Dylan Dahlke, Jesse Dahlke, Kelsey Dahlke, Hunter Dahlke, Cody Dahlke, Carson Dahlke;
Siblings, Virgil Dahlke and his wife, Bev, Dale Dahlke, Keith Dahlke, Kurt Dahlke, Brian Dahlke, Greg Dahlke and his wife, Myrna;
Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Myron was preceded in death by his Wife, Julie Dahlke; Parents, Victor and Luella Dahlke.

    I always enjoyed visits with Myron when I worked at the hospital and he would make a courier run. Always up to make a courier run no matter the time of night. Really nice man. We talked about his service to our country. Rest In Peace Myron.

    Sending prayers to the whole family, I am so sorry for your loss of Myron. He was very nice to talk to, the last couple years I got to know him.
