Nina Maeser, age 84, of Hutchinson passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson.

A Private Graveside Service will be held.

Obituary

Nina Zaslavetz Maeser was born on April 16, 1933, in the Ukraine. She was the daughter of Andrew and Kathrine Zaslavetz. Nina was baptized as an infant. In 1949 Nina and her family arrived in the United States of America.

 In 1951, Nina was united in marriage to Dean Maeser. This marriage was blessed with two children, Angela and Linda. Nina and Dean resided in central Minnesota. They shared 66 years of marriage together.

 Nina was employed as a model and ballroom dancer. Later her and Dean owned and operated two Dairy Queens, and also mobile home parks in Montrose and Newport, Minnesota.

 Nina was a member of the Ukraine Orthodox Church. She enjoyed cooking, and taking care of her family. She adored the children and cherished the time she spent with them.

 Nina passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson, Minnesota at the age of 84.

 Blessed be her memory.

 Nina is survived by her:
Loving Sister, Vera Tanasichuk;
Devoted Husband, Dean Maeser;
Daughter, Angela;
Beloved Grand-Daughter, April Luthens and her husband, Chad;
Great-Grandchildren, Andrew, RJ, Caden, Alexa and Gavin;
Niece, Kristina.

 Nina was preceded in death by her Parents, Andrew and Katherine Zaslavetz; Daughter, Linda; and Sister, Val Balmont; and Brother-In-Law, Dr. Murray Arthur Tanasichuk.

    I am a volunteer at Harmony River. Nina was one of my favorite residents. I will miss her.
