Obituary

Okhui Choe Amborn, resident in Brownton, MN, 79 years old, passed July 4th, 2020.

Okhui was born on October 9th, 1940. She married Richard Amborn on April 9th, 1968 at the US Embassy in Seoul, Korea. Together, they spent most of their time in Cokato, MN and Brownton, MN.

Okhui enjoyed cooking all foods and loved eating Korean food. She always made sure that everyone was eating and that her cookie jar was full. She loved to garden, wash and fold laundry, watch Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right, and would occasionally crochet. She had a love for shopping and spent many days at home with her family’s dogs. She loved her family and treasured any time that she was able to spend with her family and grandkids.

Okhui is survived by her husband, Richard Amborn; her son, Danny Amborn; her daughter, Jennie (Brian) Terning; and grandchildren, Courtney (Stephen) Duvick, Catherine Funk, Gabriella (Darris) Retzer, Alex Terning, Olivia Terning, and Lilliana Terning.

You gave me life
To live as I please,
You gave me love and
Support to follow my dreams.
Your beauty lives
Forever deep in my soul,
The memory of your love
Fills my heart
And I am never alone.
