Patrice “Pat” M. Kostol, age 73, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026, at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2026, 11:00 A.M., at the Church of St. Pius X in Glencoe, Minnesota, with interment at a later date in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing, Minnesota.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M., at the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe, and will continue one hour prior to the service, at the church on Wednesday.
Obituary
Patrice “Pat” Marie Kostol was born on November 22, 1952, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Burton and Jenelle (Domeier) Kostol. Patrice was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth. She received her education in Glencoe, Minnesota, and graduated from the Glencoe High School with the class of 1971. She continued her education at Hutchinson Vocational Technical College in Hutchinson, Minnesota, and became a Medical Transcriptionist.
Pat worked as a Medical Transcriptionist for various hospitals throughout the Minneapolis area until her retirement in 2015. She was a meticulous, accurate, and dedicated employee. Pat volunteered at the Glencoe Food Shelf after her retirement. Pat was a member of the Church of St. Pius X in Glencoe, Minnesota.
Pat was a gentle and kind person who cared deeply for those she loved. The oldest of 5 children, she would naturally help take care of her younger siblings. Thereafter, she brought these gifts of care, love, and attentiveness to the next generation(s), her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Pat also helped care for her father, mother, and twin sister, Denise, before they passed away. She often said she loved caring for them, and she cherished the time she got to spend with them.
Pat was a gifted and talented musician. She was an excellent pianist, and she also played the flute. She had a beautiful singing voice. She sang in her high school choir, the church choir, and community choruses throughout the area. Pat loved spending time in nature and enjoyed going for daily walks. She loved attending family events and picnics, weddings, gatherings, and reunions. She loved to keep in touch with everyone. Pat enjoyed traveling and took several trips throughout the United States and Mexico.
Pat passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026, at her home in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 73 years, 1 month, and 11 days. Blessed be her memory.

Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews, Savannah Barnes and her husband, Hunter, Mariah and Olivia Fifield, Connor, Natalie, Corbin, and Levi Walker, Axel and Antonio Zepeda, Sophia Knudson;
Aunts, Uncles, Other Relatives, and Friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her Father and Mother, Burton and Jenelle Kostol; Twin Sister, Denise Carlson.

To my beautiful niece, Pat, I loved you from the time you and Denise were born and was blessed to spend time with you and your parents when I was 12 years old. I so wish I could be there with everyone now. Rest in peace in the arms of Jesus and enjoy the company of all our loved ones in heaven, our true home. We all hope and pray to be together again one day. My love and sympathy to all my loved ones.
