Obituary
Patricia Margaret (Toth) Anderson passed away at the age of 84. She was preceded in death by her husband and sweetheart, Paul, and her beloved dog, Sasha.
She leaves behind her two children, Gregory Anderson (Joy Beers), her “favorite” son, and Denise Hanson (Jerad Heintz), her daughter. She was the proud grandmother of her “favorite” Anna Lund (Justin Lund) and her “number one” Emily Hanson (Mason Kalkbrenner). She was also blessed with a special great-granddaughter, Margaret “Maggie” Lund, who was lovingly named after her. She is further survived by her sister, her brother, and countless other cherished family members.
Pat was raised in Landville, West Virginia, the daughter of a coal miner. After graduating from high school, she moved to Florida, where she met the love of her life. They married during the fall of 1961 in Georgia and eventually settled in Minnesota, where Paul was from, to build their life together. Pat worked as a telephone operator and later as a talented seamstress. Together, they raised their two children in Minneapolis before retiring to Lake Ida in Alexandria.
Pat found joy in life’s simple pleasures—tending her garden, fishing alongside her husband, sewing quilts and countless other projects, and making her famous pizza. Summers were especially meaningful as her granddaughters spent treasured time with her at the lake. In 2009, she and Paul made Hutchinson their permanent home, along with their beloved dog Sasha, to be closer to her “favorite” and “number one” granddaughters.
In her later years, her greatest joy was spoiling her granddaughters and great-granddaughter and, of course, shopping on Amazon.
A special thank you to Ashly Kleespie for the compassionate care she provided, allowing Pat to remain in her home for as long as possible.
Thank you also to the staff at Harmony River for the care and love you gave her in her final years. You were a special part of her daily life, and she truly cared for each of you.
Her sass will be deeply missed, but her family takes comfort in knowing she is watching over them as their guardian angel. We are certain her husband was waiting for her in heaven with open arms and middle finger jokingly extended.
We love you—and we know you loved us even more.
