Obituary

Patricia “Patty” Ann (Dittmar) Schwartz was born on March 4, 1949, in Glencoe, Minnesota.  She was the daughter of Raymond and Lorraine “Babe” (Gow) Dittmar.    Patty was baptized as an infant on March 20, 1949, by Pastor W. P. Kramer at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Young America, Minnesota, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on June 9, 1963, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Green Isle, Minnesota.  She attended school at the Arlington/Green Isle School. 

On December 26, 1994, Patty was united in marriage to Victor Schwartz by Rev. Chester J. Hoversten in Glencoe, Minnesota.  Patty grew up in Young America, and then made her home in Glencoe and Green Isle, Minnesota.  She was blessed with two children, Mark and Kelli.  Patty and Victor shared over 25 years of marriage.

In addition to being a loving wife, mother and homemaker, Patty worked at Tonka Toys in Mound, Minnesota, for 11-1/2 years and 3M in Hutchinson, Minnesota, for 32 years, retiring in 2009.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Green Isle, Minnesota. 

Patty enjoyed gardening, embroidering, casino trips wintering in Florida and Arizona, playing Sheephead, fishing at Diamond Lake and watching sports, especially the Green Isle Irish Baseball team.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren.  Patty cherished the time spent with her family and friends.

Patty passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020, at her home in Green Isle, Minnesota, at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 12 days.

Patricia was preceded in death by her Parents, Raymond and Lorraine Dittmar; Siblings, Jan and Hank Frahm, Susan and Eldon Weber, Diane Dittmar, Dennis Dittmar, Jimmy Dittmar, Rodney Dittmar; Father-In-Law and Mother-In-Law, Walter and Dora Schwartz; Brother-In-Law, Robert Schwartz.
