Ramona "Mona" Wakefield, age 58, of Dassel, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021, from 1:00 - 5:00 P.M., with a service held by family outside at 2:00 P.M., all at the Brownton Rod and Gun Club 19151 108th St, Brownton, MN 55312.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I knew Mona a long time. We had alot of good times together. She was a “tell it like it is” person, that was one thing we had in common. I’ll always remember the fun we had playing pool, our road trips to the casino and the many times we laughed until we cried. She was a loyal friend and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace my friend. Turn the Page.

Just started getting acquainted with her. The #1 thing that stood out to me bout Mona was her talent of creativity. Whatever she created blew me away. I really felt like she had something that the world should have seen. Her sudden passing just reminded me of the few times I had the chance to just sit, chill and watch flicks with her and Heather but I was always too busy doing nothing worthwhile and I didn’t know then that I was the one who lost out. Just by the way her funeral proceedings went, by what her loved ones shared and by what they had displayed there at Lake Marion I can tell that she was wonderful. No wonder she was so well loved and definitely not forgotten. God bless such a woman. May her legacy live on thru her beautiful daughters and family!!

Today, I watched your girls do a fabulous tribute to you, their much loved mom. I know that you were watching also so you know how well they all did. Your friends and family will miss you like crazy, but they have memories to help them get through the even tougher days ahead. One of my granddaughters reminded me today that we should not say, “goodbye”. Instead we should say “see you next time”. So Mona, from all of us, “See you next time.”

I remembered today that 3 years was close since you put your angel wings on to fly. I think of you my BFF often. I learned a lot from you. Even little things that come back to me now and than, just things about life or whatever. I still laugh about your funny/hilarious quote notebook. Your the strongest lady I’ve ever known. I was so lucky be your friend, I miss you so much.
