Obituary
Randall “Randy” Robert Peters was born on July 16, 1957, in Hutchinson, Minnesota. He was the son of Robert and Meryl (Fratzke) Peters. Randy grew up attending Bethany Baptist Church and was baptized as a youth. He received his education in Brownton, Minnesota, and was a graduate of the Brownton High School Class of 1975.
On August 18, 1979, Randy was united in marriage to Jessica “Jessie” Alsleben in an outdoor wedding at Baylor Park in Norwood/Young America, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with four children, Lance, Rhett, Christian, and Rawson. Randy and Jessie made their home in Hutchinson, Minnesota. They shared 44 years of marriage.
Randy was employed at 3M for 42 years before retiring in March, 2021. Coworkers knew Randy as a hard worker but also someone who wanted to make things fun and lessen the stress at times. His pranks will be remembered by many. He cared about doing a good job for 3M but he cared about people more. He was a member of Riverside Church in Hutchinson. Randy loved his church family.
Randy inherited his love for fishing from his father. He, in turn, passed it on to his sons. Randy enjoyed fishing with his father, brothers and sons; enjoying the area lakes including his favorite, Lake Minnie Belle and bigger trips to Big Stone, Red Lake, Mille Lacs, and Lake of the Woods. Oh yeah, the Peters have plenty of those fishing stories! Having all sons, Jessie wasn’t much of a fisherman. She left that up to the men in her life. Randy enjoyed his time with Jessie going to fun shops and eating out, short getaways, and a couple of really fun cruises including in the Caribbean and recently an Alaskan cruise. Randy loved his wife and family, always putting them first and taking very well care of them. Randy loved the Lord and was an example of showing unconditional love to those around him. His heart and kindness were huge!
Randy passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Glencoe Regional Health, at the age of 66 years.
Blessed be his memory.
