Service Information
Raymond Weikle age 86, of Fairfax, passed away Sunday, December 27th, 2015 at the Redwood Area Hospital in Redwood Falls.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, January 13th, 2:00 P.M. at Central Lutheran Church, Camp Township, Renville County, with interment in Ft. Ridgely and Dale Cemetery, Camp Township.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 12th, from 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at the Hauser-Hantge Funeral Home in Fairfax. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
Military Honors by the Fairfax Honor Guard.
Obituary
Raymond “Ray” Ellsworth Weikle was born on July 27, 1929, in Bandon Township, Renville County, Minnesota. He was the son of Ingvald and Selmina (Samingson) Weikle. Ray was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth. He received his education at country school and was a graduate of Fairfax High School. He furthered his education at the University of Minnesota.
Ray entered active military service on December 30, 1950, and served in the United States Air Force. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Ray was Honorably Discharged on December 6, 1954.
On April 17, 1955, Ray was united in marriage to Leora Rieke at Central Lutheran Church in Camp Township. After their marriage, the couple farmed in Bandon Township. Ray and Leora were blessed with five children and they shared 44 years of marriage before she passed away on July 25, 1999.
Ray was a member of Central Lutheran Church and had served on the church council. He was also on the Ft. Ridgely and Dale Cemetery Board and served as the secretary/treasurer for 37 years. Ray was also on the Bandon Township Board.
Ray had a passion for farming and he enjoyed camping, fishing and card club. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children, and grandchildren.
Ray passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015, at the Redwood Area Hospital in Redwood Falls at the age of 86 years. Blessed be his memory.

13 Grandchildren, Amy Eveslage, Anna Eveslage, Jaime Adamski and her husband, Denny, Tony Weikle and his wife, Heather, Aaron Weikle and his wife, Carla Beth, Kjersti Bastian and her husband, Bradley, Russel Weikle, Sarah Reinhart and her husband, Jeremy, Kurt Weikle and his fiancée, Robyn Portner, Brent Weikle and his fiancée, Natasha Walker; Jessica Weikle and her fiancé, Brandon Krzmarzick, Ryan Weikle and his special friend, Emily Miller, and Josh Weikle;
Daughter-In-Law, Marcia Peterson of Mayer, MN;
Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ray was preceded in death by his Parents, Ingvald and Selmina Weikle; Wife, Leora J. Weikle; Son, Robert Weikle; Sisters, Gail, Florence, Orda, Ilah, Margaret, and Ruth; Brothers, Bert and Kenneth.
