Richard Somerville, age 71, of Glencoe, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021, at Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji, Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 3, 2022, 2:00 P.M. at the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe, Minnesota with interment following at the Glencoe City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 3, 2022, from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. at the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe, Minnesota.
Arrangements are with the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe.
Obituary
Richard Moore Somerville was born on June 16, 1950, in San Mateo, California. He was the son of John Jr. and Julia Ann (Mattei) Somerville.
In 1977, Richard was united in marriage to Debbie Aasheim in New Jersey. This union was blessed with two children, Mark and Rebecca.
Richard was a member of the Sierra Club. He was a very smart intelligent man who enjoyed electronics, traveling, visiting the National Parks, and trains. Richard could start a conversation with anyone. He cherished the time he spent with his family.
Richard passed away at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center on Friday, December 24, 2021, at the age of 71 years. Blessed be his memory.
Richard is survived by his:
Wife, Debbie Somerville of Glencoe, MN;
Children, Mark (Raha) Somerville of Burnsville, MN, and
Rebecca Somerville and her fiancée, Jon of Maple Grove, MN;
All Grandchildren;
Siblings, Jean (Fred) Freeman, Thomas (Kim) Somerville, Eleanor (Greg) Trapp, Sarah (Rodney) Somerville.
Richard was preceded in death by his Parents, John Jr. and Julia Somerville.
