Rick Patrick Saver

Obituary

Rick Patrick Saver was born on April 11, 1956, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was the son of Gerald and Janet (Schaefer) Saver. Rick was baptized as an infant on April 29, 1956 at St. Patrick’s Church in St. Paul and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth on April 22, 1966 at St. Odilia Church in Shoreview, Minnesota.  He was a graduate of the Mounds View High School Class of 1974.

Rick worked at Structural Specialties Incorporated in Hutchinson, Minnesota.

Rick was an active racing member of the American Power Boat Association and U.S. Title Series Power Boat Racing. Rick is the 500CC Runabout National Champion of 2014 and a proud member of the Thirlby Racing Team. Rick has been racing for over forty years, a passion he inherited from his father. Rick also enjoyed hiking, horseback riding, and many other outdoor activities. He especially enjoyed spending time with his life partner, Beatrice, her children, family, and friends.

Rick unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017, at the age of 61 years.
