Robert Johnson, age 38, of Winthrop passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at his home in Winthrop.
Memorial Service will be Friday, July 18, 2025, 11:00 A.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop with interment at a later date.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop and will continue one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Obituary
Robert Arthur Johnson was born on December 25, 1986, in Burlington, Iowa. He was the son of Thomas and Susan (Hawes) Johnson. Robert was baptized as an infant in Iowa, and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop. He was a graduate of GFW High School in Winthrop, class of 2005.
In his earlier years, Bobby had a passion for snowmobile racing with his “Oak Lane” racing trailer and pit crew. Traveling most weekends to compete throughout the winter. In the summer months, he enjoyed dirt bike racing and golf. Whether he shot under par or over par, he enjoyed the game!
In between, he enjoyed shooting pool on a league or getting together with his friends for a game.
Three years ago, Bobby became a father to a beautiful little girl, Jazlyn Kay. He loved his little girl and enjoyed spending time with her and taking her to the park.
Bobby passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at his home in Winthrop at the age of 38 years. Blessed be his memory.

Father and Step-mother, Tom and Sue Johnson of Winthrop, MN;
Daughter, Jazlyn Johnson of New Ulm, MN;
Brother, Richard (Alyssa) Johnson of Shakopee, MN;
Step-sister, Angelique (Frank III) Petitta of Buffalo, MN;
Step-sister, Stephanie (Brian) Turbett of Waconia, MN;
Step-brother, Matt (Angie) Rickheim of Clearwater, MN;
As well as aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his Mother, Susan Johnson-Overline; Step-father, Alan Overline; Maternal Grandparents, Glenn and Doris Hawes; Paternal Grandparents, Neil and Betty Johnson.

Bobby was a great friend Tom And Sue. I’ll always have our memories of dirt bikes and snowmobiles. Not to mention the golf course. He had the number 7 driver that would hit the fairway on the 8th in Winthrop. Tom, Sue, Richard, and Alyssa we lost someone special. I’ll miss him.
