Obituary

Roger Gale Eno was born on October 21, 1927, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was the son of Harold and Amy (Saunders) Eno. He received his education in Lincoln at the SDA schools, graduating from Union College Academy in 1946 and attending Union College and receiving an Associate Degree in X-ray tech at Loma Linda University, Loma Linda, California.

On January 29, 1950, Roger was united in marriage to Eleanor Wagner in Lincoln, Nebraska. Their marriage was blessed with four children; B Douglas, Shelly, Stephanie, and Marcia. After residing in Nebraska, Kansas, Utah, Wyoming and Minnesota, they retired to a home in Meeker County before moving to Hutchinson, Minnesota. They shared 69 years of marriage until Eleanor passed away on February 5, 2019.

Roger spent 7 years as an X-ray technician, followed by 22 years as religious literature salesman and supervisor, then 30 years as a wood floor sander/finisher, owning his own company.

Roger was ordained as a minister while he was employed in the literature ministry. He was a member of the Hutchinson Seventh-day Adventist church at the time of his passing.

His interests included classical music--including playing the organ. Antique cars, studying history, and Bible study were strong attractions to him. He held a Ham radio license for a number of years and planned to return to the hobby some day.

Roger passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Ecumen Oaks in Hutchinson, at the age of 98 years.

Blessed be his memory.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Amy Eno; brother, David Eno; wife, Eleanor Eno; grandson, Jethenro Halder.

He is survived by his son, B. Doug Eno (Barbara) of Dassel, MN; daughter, Shelly Kinzli of Grand Marais, MN; daughter, Stephanie Ehman (Randy) of Bulverde, TX; daughter Marci Eno of Weslaco, TX; grandchildren, Alan Eno (Debra) of Lincoln, NE; Michael Eno of Lincoln, NE; Christopher Eno (Crystal) of Garnett, KS; Nathaniel Kuenzli of Grand Marais, MN, Micaela Penning (Matt) of Duluth, MN, Nitha Ketts (Andrew), and Roshmoti Wolfe; great-grandchildren, Elletra Eno, Devon Eno, Corey Eno, Cara Eno, Caleah Eno, Zoe Penning, Wells Ketts and Elianie Wolfe of TN.

Saddened to hear of Roger’s passing. He was the first person to welcome me and my family into the neighborhood when we moved in 2008. He and I had several good discussions regarding faith. He was very committed to his and willing to share his beliefs. Lost contact with him after they moved. Praying for peace for the family as you go through this time.
