Roger Kranz

Obituary

Roger Wesley Kranz was born on October 24, 1938, in Gaylord, Minnesota. He was the son of Roland and Emily (Trout) Kranz. Roger was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth on March 29, 1953, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord. He received his education at Immanuel Lutheran Parochial School in Gaylord.

Roger entered active military service and served his country in the United States Army, 82^nd Airborne, from 1958-1962 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Roger received an Honorable Discharge.

On September 13, 1961, Roger was united in marriage to Constance Yaeger in Nicollet. After their marriage, the couple resided on a farm near Good Thunder, Minnesota. They were blessed with six children. Roger and Constance shared 55 years of marriage.

Roger operated Call O’ Wild Flight School, instructing students, flying charter trips, etc. He retired in 1988.

Roger enjoyed hunting deer, fishing, and spending time at the cabin. He was a charter member of Christ Our Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mankato, and a member of Duck’s Unlimited and the NRA.

Roger passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Society in Arlington, Minnesota, at the age of 78 years, 7 months, 12 days. Blessed be his memory.
