Service Information
Roger Kruse, husband of Judy, age 80, of rural Cosmos, Minnesota, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Hutchinson Health in Hutchinson, Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills Township, Minnesota, with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2023, from 4:00-7:00 P.M., at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills Township, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Obituary
Roger Hugo Frederick Kruse was born on January 12, 1943, in Hutchinson, Minnesota. He was the son of George and Evangeline (Schlueter) Kruse. Roger was baptized as an infant on January 31, 1943, and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth on May 20, 1956, both at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills Township, Minnesota. He received his education in Cosmos, Minnesota, and was a graduate of the Cosmos High School Class of 1960.
On February 15, 1964, Roger was united in marriage to Judy Schilling at St. Matthews Church in Forest City, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with three children, Mark, Todd and Shane. Roger and Judy resided in Litchfield, Minnesota, and later made their home in rural Cosmos. They shared 59 years of marriage.
Roger was previously employed at Litchfield Woolen Mills, Hutch Manufacturing. More recently, he was employed at 3M for 37 years before retiring in 2001. Roger was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills Township.
Roger enjoyed the outdoors; camping, hunting, fishing, and gardening flowers and vegetables at home. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends.
Roger passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Hutchinson Health in Hutchinson, at the age of 80 years.

Roger is preceded in death by his Parents, George and Evangeline Kruse; Brother, Kenneth Kruse.
