Obituary

Ronald “Ron” Arthur Bandemer was born on April 25, 1966, in Glencoe, Minnesota. He was the son of Hillard and Norma (Graupmann) Bandemer. Ronald was baptized as an infant on May 8, 1966, by Reverend F. Meissner and later confirmed in his faith as a youth on April 27, 1980, by Reverend Harvey G. Kath, both at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota. Ron was raised on the family farm, alongside his five siblings, caring for the animals and helping in the fields. Ron received his education in Glencoe and graduated from Glencoe High School with the class of 1984.

Ron lived in the Glencoe area most of his life, where he worked at Green Giant, The Happy Hour Restaurant, and did some cabinetry work in the area. He was an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins, the Minnesota Vikings, and professional wrestling. Ron had a heart of gold and would do anything for his family and friends. Above all, Ron treasured time spent with his family. In addition to his five siblings and their spouses, he enjoyed family time with his eight nieces and nephews and his four great-nieces and great-nephews.

In recent years, Ron suffered health complications from his long battle with diabetes. He spent one year living at The Gardens at Winsted nursing home in Winsted, Minnesota, and spent the past two months at Skylight Gardens assisted living center in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He enjoyed meeting new friends and acquaintances, where his sense of humor was appreciated.

Surrounded by his loving family, Ron passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was welcomed into his Heavenly home, leaving behind fond memories and a legacy of kindness.

Ron is survived by his
Siblings, Barbara Bandemer of Litchfield, MN,
               Jayne Waldner and her husband, Tony, of Rogers, MN,
               Mary Lyle and her husband, Jay, of Shakopee, MN,
               Lori Lentz and her husband, Jon, of St. Cloud, MN,
               Rick Bandemer and his wife, Annie, of Sartell, MN;
Nieces and Nephews, Kelley and Tim Neiber, Jennifer and Derek Steffen, Michael Waldner, Bella, Natalie, Nathan, and Nicholas Lyle, and Matthew and Meghan Lentz;
Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews, Liam, Eleanor, Anton, and Ana;
Other relatives and Friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Hillard and Norma Bandemer.

    So sorry to hear of Ronnie’s passing.
    I remember him from the good old days. He used to help me recycle cans at Budweiser.
