Rosalie Kathryn Heiland, age 85, of Norwood Young America, Minnesota, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be held Sunday, August 6, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Church of Peace in Norwood Young America, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M., 2 hours prior to the service at the church.
Obituary
Rosalie Kathryn Heiland was born on January 27, 1938, in Billings, Yellowstone County, Montana. She was the daughter of Vernon Edward and Vivian Marie (Pieper) Bergmann. She was confirmed in her faith as a youth at Church of Peace in Norwood, Minnesota. Rosalie received her education in Norwood, Minnesota, and graduated from Central High School.
On August 16, 1958, Rosalie was united in marriage to Robert Charles Heiland at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Cologne, Minnesota. Rosalie and Robert made their home in Norwood Young America, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with five children, Kathryn, Judith, Kristine, Charles, and Ronald. Rosalie and Robert shared over 62 years of marriage until Robert passed away on December 22, 2020.
Rosalie worked at Citizen’s State Bank in Norwood Young America, for 40 years. She was a member of Church of Peace in Norwood Young America.
Rosalie enjoyed playing cards, playing bingo, and reading. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ and singing with the Tonettes. Rosalie also enjoyed dancing, going on road trips with friends, vacationing, especially trips to Las Vegas, and spending time at Lake Manuella. She greatly cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
Rosalie passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, Minnesota, at the age of 85 years. Blessed be her memory.
