Rosella J. (Gaulke) Leisze

Obituary

Rosella Joyce Leisze was born on June 15, 1943, in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Fred and Meta (Pagel) Gaulke. Rosella was baptized as an infant on June 20, 1943, by Pastor Alfred R. Streufert and later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 26, 1963, by Pastor R.F. Meissner, both at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota. She attended Biscay Day Activity Center and Courage Center in Golden Valley, Minnesota.

On March 6, 1973, Rosella was united in marriage to Robert R. Markham in Ramsey, Minnesota. They shared 2 years of marriage until the passing of Robert on February 11, 1976. On February 14, 1977, Rosella was united in marriage to Henry Francis Leisze in Ramsey County, Minnesota. They shared 3 years of marriage until the passing of Henry on March 13, 1980. Rosella grew up in Glencoe and lived on a farm outside of town. She then moved to the cities where she spent many years at the Seals Apartment in St. Paul, Rosella then moved to the Emeralds at St. Paul.

Rosella was a model for Montgomery Ward for the handicapped.

She loved to visit and her smile lit up the room. Rosella was cherished by her friends.

Rosella passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, at the age of 77 years. Blessed be her memory.

Nieces, Mary Jane Gaulke and Lila Kay Anderson;
Aunts, Hilda Fenske of Hutchinson, MN,
Elsie Dettman of Hutchinson, MN;
Many cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Rosella is preceded in death by her Parents, Fred and Meta Gaulke; First Husband, Robert R. Markham; Second Husband, Henry Leisze; Brother, Virgil Gaulke; Sister-in-law, Judy Gaulke.
