Obituary
Ruth Marion Hahn was born on October 30, 1932, to Milton and Minnie (Sommerfeld) Woehler in Michigan, North Dakota. She and her family relocated to Arlington, where she attended country school and graduated from Arlington High School in 1950.
She and George Hahn were united in marriage on June 17, 1951, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Gaylord. During the next 20 years, she and George raised four children. She loved to garden, help with chores and farming their land in Alfsborg Township. She was known for her delicious homemade angel food cake, overnight cake, and freshly baked bread and buns. For many years, she taught Sunday School at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
In 1969, she went to work for Rosenberg’s candling eggs at the original egg plant in Gaylord. For 26 years she continued working with eggs and retired from Crystal Foods in 1995. She had a very strong work ethic seldom missing work even in snowstorms. She instilled her strong work ethic in all of her children and grandchildren. Five years ago, she and George moved to assisted living at Ridgeway on German in New Ulm where they were well taken care of.
Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were always at the top of her list, making sure everyone was safe and remembered in her daily prayers. She will be remembered for her positive attitude, reading her Bible, watching church services, doing word maze puzzle books, and loving to share a joke she had heard or read. Thanks for the many good memories!

Dear Hahn Family…,
Please accept our sympathy on Ruth’s passing. If only you could have been with her more in person this year.
I always enjoyed your family gatherings knowing I’d be able to eat her delicious buns! And try as I might, I couldn’t ever match her angel food cake.
Her love of her family was so strong. She will be missed. Hugs from Pauline and Chuck
